TC20III with Zeiss 100mm Makro PlanarF4 aberrations make it too compromised to use well. F5.6 aberrations just controllable but 58 they are at their best combination with slightly lower sharpness than F5.6. At f11 resolution and contrast take too much of a hit. Compared to 70-200 at 200: the F8 Zeiss plus converter is very slightly sharper than the zoom, but with more ca, treatable. but comparing the Zeiss+TC at F8 (its best) to the zoom at F5.6 (its best) the zoom wins,
So provided you think you'll have enough light for F8 then the Zeiss plus TC is a good choice for light travel |
